I have a two-column table, column one name of countries, column two a number field. Table has 230 rows.

I draw the chart and in Format axis|Axis options|Labels|Specify interval unit to 1 but some names like Italy doesn't appear in the chart. What shall I do to get Italy in the chart? As the number of countries is 230 and they don’t fit in one chart, I divide them into two charts for clarity.

Excel Facts

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Assuming you chose 2-D Bar -> Clustered Bar, you have a few options (you'll probably have to use all of them):
  1. Select the chart, select the Format tab, on the left select Series "Series Name" and hit [Ctrl]1. This will bring up that items Format properties sheet at the right. Select the right icon (looks like Column Chart), and REDUCE the Gap Width. This will make the bars wider giving the labels more breathing room and allow more labels to be shown.
  2. Select the Vertical (Category) Axis and reduce the size of the font using the Home tab button. Note that this chart always shows the vertical axis reverse from what you expect. Rather than change the sort on the table, you can select Categories in reverse order under Axis Options.
  3. Increase the height of the chart
BTW, World Population lists I have are typically around 236 Countries/Entities.

] couldn't find Gap Width but I reduced internal unit into minimum of 1 but still doesn't bring all label names.

I think you have the wrong item selected. For a 2-D Bar Chart, this is all I have for the Series Options:

OR maybe it wasn't around until after 2016. Either way, increasing the bar width would help.
