Hi:

I run these large workbooks using 64 bit Excel on a daily basis. Unfortunately, at times (30% of the time) I will lose my macros when I re-open some of these spreadsheets the next day (getting the following error)

I believe it is a memory issue.

Here is how I run these workbooks.

I open workbook #1 and it runs some calculations and then a macro saves it. The macro then opens workbook #2 - goes back to workbook #1 and closes it and then runs calculations on workbook #2 and then saves it. The macro then opens workbook #3 - goes back to workbook #2 and closes it and then runs calculations on workbook #3 and saves it ...etc etc (5 workbooks)

These workbooks are very large and the whole process can take about 1 hour, Could there be a memory issue? should I clear the cache after I close a workbook? Would this matter? If so - how would I do this?

thanks

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
If the macros are deleted, then somebody likely saved the file in .xlsx file format. Doing so is guaranteed to remove the macros for good, and nobody else will be able to use the macros that used to be in that file.
