Whats the difference between CONCAT and CONCATENATE?
The newer CONCAT function can reference a range of cells. =CONCATENATE(A1,A2,A3,A4,A5) becomes =CONCAT(A1:A5)
Hi Stephen,
as a starter, I put your data in A1:E13. Next, I added a formula in column F to see if the home team or the away team won: F2 =IF(B2>D2,1,IF(B2=D2,2,3))
Next, I made a list of all the teams, the first team in I2.
The number of points per team is basically adding up 2 SUMIFs: J2 =SUMIF(A2:A13,I2,B2:B13)+SUMIF(E2:E13,I2,D2:D13)
The number of wins is using the calculation in column F: K2 =COUNTIFS(A2:A13,I2,F2:F13,1)+COUNTIFS(E2:E13,I2,F2:F13,3)
Hope that helps,
Koen
