Hello All

I find myself often coming to MrExcel to find solutions that come easy to some of you, so I figure rather than you doing my job for me I'll teach myself some Visual Basic. I have done a little work with macro's in Excel, recording them then picking them apart, and I've learnt some life-saving stuff from this very website. I picked up a book today called The Complete Idiot's Guide to Visual Basic 6 by Clayton Walnum, which seems pretty good. I am wondering if anyone else has any recommendations for similar books, not necessarily aimed at using VB with Excel, just anything that would help a beginner start to grasp the terms used in VB and the way to construct statements and coding.

Thanks in advance
Matt

Matt,

Its great to see that you want to learn VBA. As you know, you can do a lot of cool stuff in it.

This question actually comes up a lot. If you search this forum for "VBA Books", you will find a lot of "hits" with a lot of different recommendations. One that constantly gets recommended is a book by John Walkenbach. Also, there are a whole bunch of books listed in the Mr. Excel store here:

Happy programming!
