If I have spreadsheet B open that has a cell linked to a cell in spreadsheet A, does spreadsheet A have to be open for spreadsheet B to update?

Excel Facts

Test for Multiple Conditions in IF?
Use AND(test, test, test, test) or OR(test, test, test, ...) as the logical_test argument of IF.

It is not necessary to open workbook a to update workbook b, when you open linked work, you get message to update linked cells if you click update then linked cells update, otherwise click don't update or cancel.

Ok, now I see there was a message that said "automatic update has been disabled." I re-enabled it and it worked. Not sure how it became disabled...
