Linked table with Memo fields

Hi all

I've got a database which has a lot of linked tables.
All the text fields are being classed as text (i.e. 255 character max) and this is truncating some records.

Is it possible to force certain fields to memo so I can get the entire record into the database?

What database are the tables linked from?

Are they originally memo, or memo-type, field there?

Hi Norie
They are linked to CSV files.
I've managed to sort it by redoing the linked tables and specifying memo for the relevant fields when redoing the link.
