Linked workbooks

I know there has got to be a simple answer to this - but I don't know how to unlink workbooks that have automatic update links. Every time I open one of these workbooks I see a message asking if I want to update the workbook. And thats what I want to get rid of.

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
