When I edit or programmatically sort the data associated with the ComboBox Property LinkFillRange excel automatically executes the ComboBox action following my update or sort.
Is there a way in VBA to turn off this automatic updating while I am performing my updates or programmatically sorting? I tried turning off screen updating but that didn't work.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
Try something like this:
VBA Code:
Dim LFR as String
With Me.ComboBox1
    LFR = .ListFillRange
    .ListFillRange = ""
    '
    ' perform my updates
    ' do my programmatically sorting
    '
    .ListFillRange = LFR
End With
