This may be a very basic question for most of your but I need to figure out how to turn this
SELECT a
FROM otherworksheet
WHERE e = 'blah'
into a formula in a cell.
I have a worksheet where I log Co-op Credit memos called memolog. on this sheet we have the acct#(A), cust. name(B), cust. inv.#(C), cm date(D)cm#(e), clm date(F)....
On another worksheet, global memo, we have a pretty version of this to mail to the customer. I want to know how to take the data from memolog, and get it into the correct places on global memo when I change the cm#(H2) field on global memo. I've tried using the Indirect function but I can't seem to figure out how to use it correctly.
I appologize in advance if this is a double posting. You also might be wondering how I know SQL but can't figure out a simple Excel function. I was/am a ColdFusion programmer. I have never worked with Excel very much. Mostly Access, SQL and Oracle. If I had my way I'd put this all in a database instead of a huge spreadsheet.
