Linking Multiple Protected Sheets

I have numerous (over 20) spreadsheets that have multiple locked cells so that other users cannot change formulas. I have then protected these sheets. The problem is that I want to be able to have all of that information feeding into one main spreadsheet that is not locked or protected that only I have access to. When I tried to link the spreadsheets (using the Auto Sum function) it wouldn't let me.

Is there any way to do this, or is it impossible?
