Hi

I'm not that strong with pivot tables - I have a spreadsheet that I need to link to some other data - at the moment that data is on another spreadsheet and in order to make sense of the data, I have used a simple pivot table as there are 2 variables to search for.

Is it possible to link directly to the pivot table in such a way that even when the data is refreshed or different selections are made etc, the correct data stilll gets pulled accross?

The current way of doing things is to concatenate the 2 variables and do a sumif. I have considered a sumproduct instead but whenever I introduce sumproducts it tends to slow the calcs down dramtaically.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Ambidextrous Undo
Undo last command with Ctrl+Z or Alt+Backspace. If you use the Undo icon in the QAT, open the drop-down arrow to undo up to 100 steps.
As long as your pivot table is simple, you may want to try using the GETPIVOTDATA function in Excel. It will find the data corresponding to the inputs you select, even if the table is refreshed.
