Hi

I have 1 file in my computer and source in the local workgroup.
I cant make simple link to the every cell what i need because in the source file user insert rows and my links after that updateing from the wrong cells.
In the both files i have same numbers in the column A and can use some search metod.
I made something like this in vba but maybe i can use some worksheet function?
I explane now what i need or how my macro works.
For examle, i take value from "A5", search same value from source file column A and then take value foundvalue.offset(0,3) from source file and insert this in to the my file "F5".

Excel Facts

Is there a shortcut key for strikethrough?
Ctrl+S is used for Save. Ctrl+5 is used for Strikethrough. Why Ctrl+5? When you use hashmarks to count |||| is 4, strike through to mean 5.
There are several "lookup functions" in Excel (see Excel Help) so perhaps something liike this is what you need :-
=VLOOKUP(A5,Sheet2!A:D,4,FALSE)
