I know that one can import data from Excel to Access and link to tables etc but what I want to know is - is there a way of linking to individual cells in Excel from Access like one can get data from one cell in one spreadsheet and show it in another spreadsheet - can one do the same in Access

I have spreadsheets given to me and they contain logos etc at the top and there are three cells towards the middle and the data that follows that I want to link to in Access.

Am using both MS Access 2007 and MS Excel 2007.

Excel Facts

Highlight Duplicates
Home, Conditional Formatting, Highlight Cells, Duplicate records, OK to add pink formatting to any duplicates in selected range.
If you want the data in Access you would be best to import it.

You *can* link to Excel but:
1. The first row of every column must contain a heading
2. If you do link the data you will be unable to edit it.

How many files are there, and how often does the data change?

I have seen examples where specific cells in Excel pull data from Access and it may be possible the other way around, but it will most likely involve code to achieve it.
