Hi Guys,

I am creating a workbook with multiple sheets, on the main sheet I have inserted a drop down menu using "Data Validation"-->List. Right now I select an item from the list and then a hyperlink comes up below the drop down box, I want to change this.

I want that as soon as I select an item from the drop down (by using data validation or any other method) the related sheet open up automatically.

Please help me in this.

Thanks in advance,

Cheers!!
Lucky

suppose the hyperlink is placed in cell A3:

edit the worksheet_change function and place code like this in it:

if Target.Address = "A3" then
application.workbooks.open (Target.value)
end if

this will open the target from the hyperlink I think (maybe need some adjustment, I don't have Excel here to test it)

what part of it is not working? are you familiar to vba?
if the hyperlink is generated using a formula you should use the
worksheet_calculate function instead.
