So if that title of the thread didn't make any sense...

I have a list of names in Column A -

Tom
Tom
Tom
Tom
George
****
****
Harry
Harry
Harry
Sandra
Sandra
Leon
Paul
Paul
Paul

Etc....

What I would like Excel to do is list out in Column B all the unique names in the list. Is there a formula to do this?

Excel Facts

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.

You can do this quite easily using the advanced filter. No formulas needed.

What version of Excel are you using?

Actually...it just dawned on me.

I can use Data - Filter - Advanced Filter - Copy to Range using Unique Entries.

Sorry, please close the thread.
