Lock Cells without password protecting the file

Hello friends,

Is there a way to lock cells without password protecting an excel file?
Its a template and I want to lock various cells which have formulas in it. Example for cells that need to be locked: Column O, P, row 19, row 27, row 29, row 30, row 32
If its VBA, can you please provide step by step instruction on how to do it?

You can choose to Protect your sheet without a password (when protecting, the password is actually optional).

In order to prevent someone from editing a cell you will need to protect the sheet, although you don't need to use a password.
