Lock certain columns in multiple worksheets

Hello,

A friend told me about this forum. this is my first post. Im just a novus using Excel. i have a workbood with multiple worksheets with differ. names. they are all set up the same... (just differ info)
is there a way to lock columns ie... A, C F on all worksheets some how with out going into ea. worksheet?

If Excel says you have links but you can't find them, go to Formulas, Name Manager. Look for old links to dead workbooks & delete.

Yes, to do that:

1. Group the Sheets by pressing the Ctrl key and selecting each Sheet
2. Select a group of Columns by pressing the Ctrl key and selecting each Column Header.
3. Right-Click over one of the selected Cells
4. Protection Tab > Locked
5. Right-Click a Sheet Tab > Ungroup sheets

As you probably already know, the Locked Cells will only have an effect when the sheet is also protected.

Thank you... so is there a way to protect all sheets at same time? or do i have to do one at a time.
