I have set up excel to import data from an access database - I then need to perform a lookup on this data without the end user actually seeing the table of data. But the only problem is that the data is constantly changing and needing to be refresh - but when you hide the coloums and protect the sheet the data cant be refreshed. Any ideas?

Excel Facts

Create a chart in one keystroke
Select the data and press Alt+F1 to insert a default chart. You can change the default chart to any chart type
Write a macro which unprotects the sheet, refreshes & then protects again
