Is it possible to have a cell's format determine the value of another cell?

For example, if Cell A's font is red, I want Cell B to have a value of 2. But if Cell A's font is Blue, I want Cell B to have a value of 3.

Is this possible?

Thanks

Can a formula spear through sheets?
Use =SUM(January:December!E7) to sum E7 on all of the sheets from January through December
will something like this help you?

Sub test()
If Range("a1").Font.ColorIndex = 3 Then Range("b1") = 2
If Range("a2").Font.ColorIndex = 4 Then Range("B2") = 3

End Sub
