Look UP in list - ASAP HELP PLEASE

I need to lookup a a cell in a list and see if it is in the list.

Example cell a1 - check to see if it is duplicated anywhere in col A. then if cell a2 is listed in COL A....etc.

The cell is alpha numeric field and needs to be exact match but unsure to do the lookup in the range.

Try this...

Enter this formula in B1:

=COUNTIF(A:A,A1)>1

Copy down as needed.

TRUE means there is a duplicate
FALSE means no duplicates

=COUNTIF(A:A,A1)>1
Will return TRUE if the value in A1 is duplicated anywhere else in column A, otherwise will return FALSE.
