Hello,

I am trying to create an IF function that will look in a cell for a word amoung many other words. I want it to return a word if that word is contained somewhere in the cell and I want it to return a different word if the word I am looking for is not in the cell.

Let me know if you need a better description of my problem.

I am working in Excel 2007.

Thank you,

UWHusky

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.

Something like...

=IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("NAD",A2)),"KAD","LAD")

meaning: When NAD is in A2, return KAD, otherwise return LAD.
