Hey guys.. I need to see if this is possible..

I want to know if there is a formula that can look up certain data among multiple files.. Dates in particular... So if I enter a date in cell 1A in Sheet 1 in File xy inside folder xyz, it will look up automatically and generate data from a specified folder from a range of files among a range of sheets inside (matching the date in Cell A).. what would be the route to go about that?

I am trying to do inventory control and need to match up the files that have sales data, with the files have food cost data and inventory tracking (all of them could change daily). Need to make sure, that depending on the date in cell A1, files are correlated and always have the proper food cost.

Also another question I had... If i have a range of dates in row 1 (for the whole year) and i have a range of items in column A. And on the next sheet I want averages for each week of the year for every item in column A... (sales). how would I get that. I would ideally want to match the first day of the week with the item in column A and add up the first day of the week with next 6 cells to its right.

Thank you for your help in advance.
