Hi,
Whether there are many threats related to this topic and i have read through them, I still cannot find a solution for my problem.
I have a sheet which contained name of employees and projects they worked with, and some more figures.
And now, in another sheet, I have to get the name of different employees involed in a project. I have used the above formula. However, it just gives the correct result for the first project, and totally wrong for the rest.
I know it's easier and better to use privottable but i'm not allowed!!!
Could you guys please take a look at my excel sheet and suggest me a solution for it? Thank you in advance.

Excel Facts

Using Function Arguments with nested formulas
If writing INDEX in Func. Arguments, type MATCH(. Use the mouse to click inside MATCH in the formula bar. Dialog switches to MATCH.
On www.excelguide.eu you'll find the ARLOOKUP formula, an UDF.
Excel, Lookup, Lookup several values
This will gather all names in one cell, separated by comma's.
Hi,
Thanks for your suggestion! actually, i took a look at ur website yesterday. However, I need those names in separate cells. Do you have any other suggestion for me ^^
Thanks alot!

Hi,
I found one formula which seems to be useful. However, it just gives the correct result for the first project, and totally wrong for the rest. You can take a look at it in my attached excel file.

You could use the formula to collect the data and then run a macro to seperate the values into the seperate columns. Here is a link that will point you in the right direction. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/...-to-rows-preserve-data-in-surrounding-columns

Thank for ur advice. However, i am not really familiar with VBA. Is there any way to deal with this problem by using formula? I think the formula i have used may lead to my appreciate answer. Have you checked it out? Could you check what's wrong with it? it returned correct result for the 1 project, but doesn't work through out all projects :((
