Hi,

Until now I have been quite happily using the 'Vlookup' fuction and it has served me very well, however I now have the following problem...

Previously I would use the vlookup function to return one of only one possible match.

My new problem is that the source data can now contain a number of possible matches!

For example...

Alpha Number
A 1
B 1
B 2
C 1
D 1
E 1
E 2
E 1

I would like to perform a look up on the above data and if I'm looking for 'E' for example, I would like the return value to be '4' The sum total of all x3 possible 'E' values.

Thanks in advance for any help you might give... Nathan
