Good day all .. I am trying to write a macro to read dates from 2 columns. if the difference between them is 5,4,3,2, or 1 day then one of the dates to be red. below is what I put together but its not working. Please help .

if cells(r,1)-5 = cells (r,2) or cells (r,1)-4 = cells (r,2) or cells ...etc then cells (r,1).Interior.Color = vbYellow

Excel Facts

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
You want to combine them into a compound inequality.
VBA Code:
Dim difference As Variant
difference = Abs(Cells(r, 1).Value - Cells(r, 2).Value)
If (difference >= 1) And (difference <= 5) Then Cells(r, 1).Interior.Color = vbYellow
