Macro to check for a empty folder

Hi... i am trying to design a macro to check if a folder has any files in it.?But this folder will always have a subfolder. All i want is to write a macro to check if the folder contains any files(example: excel or txt) other than the subfolder. could you please help me with the code?

    If Dir(fldr & "*.*") = "" Then
        MsgBox "No files in " & fldr
    End If
