Macro Trigger

Suppose I have Sheet1, Cell A2 as set as a data validation cells with multiple dates to choose from. Is it possible to set that to run a macro when a different date is selected?

Try like this: right click Sheet1's tab, select View Code and paste in

Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
If Target.Address(False, False) = "A2" Then Call MyMacro
End Sub

Change MyMacro to suit.

Call MyMacro <> MyMacro()

Either will do. I prefer to be explicit - it makes the code easier to understand, especially in large projects
