Macro

I created a macro using developer tab and used the same to run to another workbook everything went perfectly well except that the macro didn't repeat the command that I used for vlookup to fetch values from another file. I was wondering if Macro does not record vlookup command or am I missing something here? Please help.

vlookup is a function, so it may not.
Is it in the macro?
