Macros won't save or enable

how come whatever macro i create, when i try to save it nothing. I close out excel and the macro I created has been deleted. What am I doing incorrectly?

also, I try to go and enable macros in the trust center and the option is not available for me to change.

Excel 2007? Are you saving as .xlsm?

yes...and yes.

Make sure your Trust Setting are set to either...

Disable All Macros with Notification

or

Enable all Macros....

That's the second part of my problem! When I go to do that all the options are grayed out and I'm not allowed to change them.

Are you on a work/company computer that the IS Dept. has blocked those options? My employer has tightened security on Macros.
