Which Excel functions can ignore hidden rows?
The SUBTOTAL and AGGREGATE functions ignore hidden rows. AGGREGATE can also exclude error cells and more.
Try something like this

Code:
Sub temp()
Dim formulaString As String

formulaString = Range("C1").Formula
If Mid(formulaString, 2, 7) = "VLOOKUP" Then
    Range("C1").Formula = Range("C1").Value
End If
End Sub
