When I view my links, they are always absolute back to the server name or drive letter which means that if I copy an entire directory to a new location the links no longer work.

Is there a way to make th elinks relative to the location of the workbook that they are in.

So perhaps if I wanted to link to a file called test.xls in the directory one under where I am I could use ='..\text.xls[sheet1]'!A1 or something like that.

Is this possible.

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
