Hi,

I have a timer which when I press a stop button it copies the time to cells.

This time is in the format 12:00:00 which I would like to be able to edit too.

In another column I have time shown in [h]:mm format.

Is there a way to have that 12:00:00 shown starting from 00:00:00 and be able to edit it please? Actually, it would be great if it was in [h]:mm as the other column.

Cheers.

Excel Facts

Move date out one month or year
Use =EDATE(A2,1) for one month later. Use EDATE(A2,12) for one year later.
your format can be pasted over

right click > format > custom

Mole's suggestion has other options there too you may wish to look at for formatting Time. There should be many too choose from.

Or can be accessed through the menu - Home - then (In Number section) click small arrow in lower right corner of box - choose Number from menu - click Time. And a bunch of choices will be there for different Time formats.

Thanks.

The thing about formating the cell, when you click on it to edit you still see 12:00:00 AM.

I'd rather see 0:00 (if it was formated as [h]mm).

Reason for this is because other users get confused seeing 12:00:00 AM.

Edit: I wonder if a scroll bar could be used to adjust the time (in say 5min increments) instead of manually typing it in?

Cheers, Glenn.
