Hi

are you able to advise how I can code my worksheet for the following requirement

I have a worksheet that I update on a daily basis, there are 5 columns and the worksheet has a lot of other information on the rows above.

I want to be able to make column E manditory before closure when columns A - D are complete.

also baring in mind that this sheet will be updated daily so its a continuous workbook.

is this possible?

Excel Facts

Copy PDF to Excel
Select data in PDF. Paste to Microsoft Word. Copy from Word and paste to Excel.
I think the approach I would take is;

Add an additional column and in there enter the formula (as it would be on row 2, adjust to suit first row of your data) =IF(AND(COUNTA(A2:D2)>0,E2=""),1,"")

Then add a cell showing the sum of that column. Add a macro with a before close event to check for the presence of anything exceeding 0 in that cell.

Best regards
Richard
