masked Cell

Hello all,

Can anyone help & guide me to mask a cell. I want to hide the content, I type in a cell. It can be any special char.

You can hide a column or a row but not a cell.
You could format the font of the cell to white.....
but that will still be visible in the formula bar, unless you hide it as well !!

or you can use Custom format
[White]

but as Micheal mentioned you should hide the formula bar as wel.l

Thanks for your reply friends. So let it be shown in the formula bar, but still it will be in the form of special char. There is no way, we can make it ? Is there any solution ? Apart from making the cell white ? I want to type a number, a name, atelephone or anything BUT it will be shown in the form of special char to the user.
