Hi,

I have a spreadsheet that has 2 sheets. On sheet one is a listing of people and thier IDs and email addresses. The IDs are in column A and the Email Address in column D

The second page of the book has a subset list of IDs in column A

I would like to look up each value in the subset list and retrieve the email address for that ID.

Note. Some IDS are missing email addresses so it must be able to return a blak value.

Can anyone help?

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
Try this:
Excel 2003

=IF(ISNUMBER(MATCH(A2,One!$A$2:$A$20,0)),INDEX(One!$A$2:$D$20,MATCH(A2,Two!$A$2:$A$20,0),4),"")

Excel 07 & 10:
=IFERROR(INDEX(One!$A$2:$D$20,MATCH(A2,One!$A$2:$A$20,0),4),"")

copy down

Extend ranges as far as you need
