Trying to combine the equations from row 5 into cell X5
and the same for row 9 into cell X9

and maybe even equations from row 5 and row 9 into cell X11

How to create a cell-sized chart?
Tiny charts, called Sparklines, were added to Excel 2010. Look for Sparklines on the Insert tab.

In this example I'm trying to compare cost when a pc is being used vs when not being used and the total cost per month/year.... In this example its 16 hours max usage and 8 hours no usage in hibernate mode.

I saw the mistake I made with / vs * in cell p9

But I'm still trying to see how to write the equations in the least amount of cells... this just happens to be an example that I was working with for my own usage.

How can I write the whole equation from A5 to V5 into X5

Whole equation in one cell is: =(150*16+5*8)/1000*365*0.26/12

Based on what you wrote above I came up with this

In cell X5 =(A5*D5)/J5*N5*R5/V5

In cell X9 =(C9*F9)/J9*N9*R9/V9

In cell X11 =X5+X9

But what if I wanted to write the equation from X5 and X9 into cell X11 instead?

Would it just be =(A5*D5)/J5*N5*R5/V5+(C9*F9)/J9*N9*R9/V9

or is there a simpler why to write it?

Well. one way to write it is very similar to yours : =A5*D5/J5*N5*R5/V5++C9*F9/J9*N9*R9/V9 - basically just removing some unneeded brackets. You can simplify it if you have the common terms hard-coded, like: =(A5*D5+C9*F9)/1000*365*0.26/12 - as 1000 365 0.26 and 12 are the same for both parts of the calculation.
