Hello,

I have named the F5 cell to "start" and the B6 cell to "stop" and what to use the name instead on of F5 and B6. What is the syntax ?

MAX($F5;$B6);

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Is "start" F5 or D5 ? You've posted it both ways...

Are the dates actually real dates?

What do these return
=ISNUMBER(D5)
=ISNUMBER(B6)

It works with true Excel dates, you need to format thye result cell as a Date.
