Max value by group

Hi all,

Working in Excel 2010.

I have a list of names and the number of times they came to us. I want to flag their latest appointment. I'm more of a visual person, so hopefully these screenshots help.

Trying to make this:

Look like this:

I'm really under the gun here, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello,

=IF(COUNTIF($A$2:$A$25,"="&A2)=B2,"<---","")


Change $A$2:$A$25 to suit, this is your name range. This needs the dollar signs.

B2 is the numbers.

Place the formula in the top cell and then double click the fill handle.
