Measuring place performance other then the high/low

What equation would be needed to find not the first or top (or lowest or bottom) statistic, but a random placement number or figure, such as the fourth or eight highest or lowest number in a series. Does such an equation exist?

Thanks in advance for the help.
 

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
