Hi all ;)

I have created a formula which uses CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER but now i cannot centre the answer between 2 cells. Does anybody know how to do this? i cannot seem to find the answer on google etc.

Thanks for the help,

What formula have you entered, and into what range did you enter it?

Re: Narked Girls! (merge cells with CTRL-Shift-Enter)

Hi Glenn,

It's an IFError formula which uses cell J19, but to make it fit with the layout of the spreadsheet i wanted to simple centre the text between cells J19 and K19; however, using the CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER method doesn't allow you to merge the cells apparently (im new to this stuff).

Any ideas?

Re: Narked Girls! (merge cells with CTRL-Shift-Enter)

Again, what formula have you entered?

And I'll really spell out my other request for information ... did you enter the formula into a single cell, or did you select a range and enter the formula into the entire range in one go?

Re: Narked Girls! (merge cells with CTRL-Shift-Enter)

i have the same thing: i copied a code on this website (changed a few things around) and i followed the steps provided with it saying it must be entered using CTRL-SHIFT-ENTER method

Code:
=IFERROR(INDEX(Process!$D$32:$D$35,SMALL(IF(Process!$E$32:$E$35=MAX(Process!$E$32:$E$35),ROW(Process!$D$32:$D$35)-ROW(Process!$D$32)+1),ROWS(G32:G32))),"")

I wasnt too sure what that was but i gave it ago and now i cannot merge the cells j19 and k19 together to centre the outcome. I pasted the code in J19 but i want the finished thing to be split across cells J19 and K19.

Is that everything? I thought this was going to be simple :P

Re: Narked Girls! (merge cells with CTRL-Shift-Enter)

And do you get some kind of error message when you try to merge J19 and K19?

Also, what happens if you select J19 and do Ctrl / ? How many cells get highlighted?
