Was wondering if anyone could help me, or lead me in the right direction. I'll explain the problem.

Spreadsheet 1
-------------

NAME | EARNINGS
Tom | £16
Bill | £20
Frank | £15

Spreadsheet 2
--------------

NAME | Sick Days
Tom | 5
Frank | 4

Merged spreadsheet!! (this is what I want)

NAME | Earnings | sick days
Tom | £16 | 5
Bill | £20 | 4
Frank | £15 | 0

Any help would be great. This is doing my head in!

Excel Facts

Select all contiguous cells
Pressing Ctrl+* (asterisk) will select the "current region" - all contiguous cells in all directions.
Hi - Welcome to the forum :)

Sounds like a VLOOKUP would be what you need.

Code:
=VLOOKUP(A2,Spreadsheet2!A:B,1,FALSE)
(Making assumptions about column / row references there)

Does that help?
