I'm missing something here.
I have a range of cells, say C1:C30. If any of the numerical values of the cells in this range is greater than 10, I'd like the formula in cell B1 to post a message that says "Complete". If none of the cells in the range is greater than 10, B1 needs to remain blank. Any ideas ?

Thanks in advance.

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.
Put this formula in B1 and copy down
=IF(C1>10,"Complete","")

Read the question too fast and missed that you wanted B1 to say complete if "any" cell was over 10

Try this
=IF(MAX(C1:C30)>10,"complete","")

Dragracer,

Works perfectly. I've not used the MAX function before. Thanks for your help.
