Microsoft Visual Basic run time error 424 Object required

I keep getting error "Microsoft Visual Basic run time error 424 Object required" when I open my excel report. Does anyone know how to remove his error message please?

When you get the error is there a Debug option?

no it is greyed out. the only thing I can select is "End"..

How are you opening the 'report'?

It asks me if I want to update and I select No, then it gives the error message. If I say yes it starts to go into a bigger error message about a script error asking me if I want to continue running scripts on this page..
