I was kindly given this formula, but it says I'm missing a parenthesis.. any ideas?

=IF(AND(K6 > = DATEVALUE("05/10/2014"),"OVERDUE","")

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).

You only have one condition so you don't need AND:

=IF(K6 > = DATEVALUE("05/10/2014"),"OVERDUE","")

There is no AND comparison you could remove "(AND". This would then return OVERDUE if the date in K6 was less than or equal to 05/10/2014

=IF(K6<=DATEVALUE("05/10/14"),"Overdue","")
