hi all-

I have cells where there are already hardcoded numbers (SQL query copied over). So for example, A5 has value 1.2 in it.

I want to modify A5 so it has =1.2*B5

What is the simplest way to do this? And what is i have a range (called "Values" that goes from A5 to C10) do i have to go cell by cell or can I affect change to a range at once?

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
b-radexcel,
Without using another column for the calc you want to perform, you'll have to use VBA. I'm sure some of the VBA wizzes will chime in soon...
