I am looking for a function that will take a date cell and provide me the name of the month for the date contained in the cell.

I am sure I could combine a couple of functions together, but I wondered if there was one function to do this.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Best way to learn Power Query?
Read M is for (Data) Monkey book by Ken Puls and Miguel Escobar. It is the complete guide to Power Query.
If your date is in A1

then in another cell you can use

=TEXT(a1,"mmmm")

or

=A1

and format the cell as "mmmm" (although doing it this way the underlying value of the cell is still the date)
