Hi,

Is there anyway that an IF statement will do increments. i.e. If you have a holding of security holding at 5 can you do the following

If holding moves up or down by 1 then is flagged.

Excel Facts

Convert text numbers to real numbers
Select a column containing text numbers. Press Alt+D E F to quickly convert text to numbers. Faster than "Convert to Number"
I am afraid your question is not very clear.

Can you post of an example of what you are looking for?

You have a holding

Stock A Holding
MREXCEL 8.1

What I'm trying to get is if the holding moves by 1.00 i.e. 7.1 - 9.1 then flag. However if it moves under 1.00 then not flag

OK, but what does your worksheet look like?
What are you comparing this to?
How does this data move, within the worksheet?
Are there multiple rows of data for this holding, each with different prices?

Don't skimp on the details, the more information you give us, the better the answer we can provide!

Its comparing todays against last disclosed comp. The comp movement needs to flag if todays movement rises to -0.9130 or falls to -0.7130. So anything/movement +/-1.

It looks like you are looking for movement greater than or equal to .1, not 1.

It appears that your last column is showing the difference. Let's say that is in cell D2. Then you formula might look something like this:

Code:
=IF(ABS(D2)>=.1,"FLAGGED","")
