Hi Everyone,

please can someone help me,

Ive got a spreedsheet and we input client data into the lines so each client has a specific Line number,

I want to be able to take the details from a specific line and pull/copy the information throught,

but i have no idea how to do this?

as an example lets the sheet with all the clients datails on is sheet2, and i want to pull the name and address of a client throught to sheet5 so i can print off the details.

so sheet5 has the following feilds:

B2 = Name
B3 = address

now i want to put a line number of sheet2 (the sheet with my clients in it) in cell E5 then maybe click a macro buttom and have it look up the data on that line and pull it through to sheet 5.

can anyone suggest a way to do this please?

thanks

Tony:(

Excel Facts

How to fill five years of quarters?
Type 1Q-2023 in a cell. Grab the fill handle and drag down or right. After 4Q-2023, Excel will jump to 1Q-2024. Dash can be any character.
Or, assuming your client details are in the forst 10 rows of Sheet2:

=INDIRECT("Sheet2!B"&MATCH($E$5,Sheet2!$A$1:$A$10,0))

This will return the value of the B-column in the specific row. Use OFFSET or change "B" to fill the other columns.
