All,

I've been trying to get a message box to appear whenever a workbook is edited, but for some reason I can't get it to work. Should be pretty simple, no?

----------------
Private Sub Worksheet_Change()
MsgBox "If editing this book, please sort on the Customer field when finished. Also, please be sure to retain formats when editing or adding to the workbook."
End Sub
------------------

But I get a "Procedure declaration does not match description of event or procedure having the same name".

Any thoughts?

Erich

Excel Facts

Why are there 1,048,576 rows in Excel?
The Excel team increased the size of the grid in 2007. There are 2^20 rows and 2^14 columns for a total of 17 billion cells.

The error message says it all really.

The worksheet change event has the Target argument.
Code:
Private Sub Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range)
MsgBox "If editing this book, please sort on the Customer field when finished. Also, please be sure to retain formats when editing or adding to the workbook."
End Sub
