Hi there,

Any way I can change an IF formula to check if multiple values are true/false with the logical criteria?

Thanks

You can teach Excel a new custom list. Type the list in cells, File, Options, Advanced, Edit Custom Lists, Import, OK
I just want the formula to check that 4 different cells match, and if they do not then to return the discrepancy.

Here's the formula so far;

=IF(AND(G15=K18,D15=G15,K18=K27),"Balanced",IF(G15=K18,D15-G15,K27-G15))

However, I want the second part of the formula (after G15=K18) to check if multiple values are true or false, not just one.

Can this be done please?

OK, so what are the multiple values? Can't you do something like using the AND as you did in the first part of the formula?

What that seems to do is to allow for multiple logical arguements but not to see if all cells are true/false, and that's what I want to do.

Well, trying to get information from you is quite a task! :biggrin:

I can't help you if I don't know what it is you want to do!

I thought I explained it quite clearly before, I want to check if 4 numerical cells match, as these acccounts should all balance with each other.

If any of these accounts differ in any way, then the difference is what I need reported.

Each account needs to reconcile with each other, and so I need the formula to compare each individual cell with the other so it can report the discrepancy correctly, as a total.

I hope this makes it clearer?

We can't understand your explanation.
Three or four examples might help us understand what you want to do.
